Portland is a lot soggier than I remembered. Beijing would go weeks or months at a time without precipitation.

We've gotten some umbrellas, rain coats and boots, but needed a good puddle jumping to fully embrace our return to the Pacific Northwest and help our daughters get over their fear to street water.
